Join the BIOMAP team as Senior Research Associate in Genetic Epidemiology – open position at University of Bristol

The MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit at the University of Bristol is recruiting a quantitative scientist (from genetic epidemiology / statistical genetics or any related backgrounds) to contribute to the next phase of our exciting program of work. One priority area is to advance from understanding causes of the onset of disease, to the causes of disease progression. As part of the BIOMAP team, the role will focus on the genetic risk factors for disease severity in eczema.

As new team member, you will prepare data from large population cohort studies for analysis, perform genome-wide association and/or Mendelian Randomization analysis and collaborate internationally by being part of the amazing BIOMAP team.

The team at University of Bristol is looking for an enthusiastic quantitative scientist who is interested in analysis of disease progression phenotypes or integrating molecular data with methods for causal inference. Interested applicants should further have experience of working with high dimensional data and of coding using R, Python, Perl, C or similar.
